Our School follows the scheme of CBSE as a part of its Examination Reforms Programme. It covers every relevant aspect of a child's personality, behavior and performance with diverse learning situations. It respects the cardinal principle of holistic development by covering the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains, so that the head, the heart and the hand are harmoniously developed. Thus it incorporates both scholastic and co-scholastic aspects of education. Besides the subjects like languages, social science, mathematics, science, physical and health education, work experience, art education and computer studies, a student is also assessed for life skills, attitudes and values, and participation in different co-curricular Indoor & outdoor activities. The academic year is divided into two terms as follows:

First Term: April - September
Second Term: October - March
Winter Vacation: About 12 days in January
Summer Vacation: About 30-45 days in May, June & July

If the performance of any student is considered highly unsatisfactory, he/she may be asked to repeat the same class. There will be a Pre-Board Examination for class 10th in January, who fail to obtain 40% marks in each subject in this examination may be given chance to appear in the Screening Test. Students with poor performance (less than 33%) and poor attendance (less than 75%) may not be allowed to continue & their names shall be sent to the C.B.S.E for removal from the school roll.

A close watch is kept over the progress of the students. Regular classroom teaching is covered by sufficient home-work so that retention is facilitated. This achievement is evaluated through assignments, projects, activities, quizzes, class work, homework, field trips, educational tours, tests, formative & summative assessment, right from class one. Assessment includes written as well as oral tests.

The Blackdale Public School prepares candidates in accordance with the syllabus prescribed by the CBSE from time to time and therefore we follow the CBSE curriculum in the school. NCERT books, supplemented with other publications are prescribed in all classes. Detailed syllabus of each class is available in the school office.

Additionally, the school has Smart classes teaching in all the sections of the school.
